The Executive (the pen is called PowerPoint Executive) is practically identical to the Paper∙Mate Profile but with a slightly different clip. This pen features a satin-finished gold tone metal cap and barrel with polished clip and trim. The clip has a corporate promotion, VM, in place of the customary two-hearts logo. So, please have a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this outstanding Paper∙Mate pencil should be yours. This Paper∙Mate Executive is in clean, very good condition. It measures 5⅜” long by ⅜” wide. There are no dings, scratches, or tarnish, just a few tiny marks from use and storage over the years. Plus, the clip rests properly with no gap and the pencil’s halves hold together tightly, securely. Overall, this handsome pencil is very well preserved. Even more importantly, the pencil’s twist mechanism works correctly, reliably. Turning the barrel extends the lead and retraction, when needed, takes a turn or two in the opposite direction. What’s more, the original eraser shows some use and is probably not effective after this many years. Also, there is a supply of original leads in the customary place beneath the eraser, as pictured. Lastly, the Executive pencil has good mass, ample weight, and feels great on paper with the larger, soft lead that many of us still prefer!
