Vintage Painted Pewter Thimble Hansel and Gretel MW McMillan and Wife Hinged

Description: Please be aware that due to the increase in volume of packages being shipped through the US Postal System, shipping times have been significantly longer than those estimated by either eBay or the USPS tracking tool. Vintage collectible, hand-painted, pewter thimble shaped like alittle cottage on a hill with two children climbing the stairs to the front door.The back of the thimble is imprinted with "Hansel and Gretel".The cottage is hinged and opens to reveal a dimpled thimble top. Marked high up inside the crown of the thimble is the MW Made in Englandmark for Peter McMillin and Wife. The thimble measures about 1¾" tallwith about a bit over ⅝" by a bit under ⅝" opening at the baseabout ⅞" at widest point when measured diagonally No damage to the pewter metal noted. There is some minor wear to some of the painted surface ... mainlyto roof peak and around hinge.
