Description: This is an Original signed cartoon drawing by my father, the late Roy Hearn. Roy was the head cartoonist for the Cleveland Plain Dealer from 1960 until his premature death at the age of 48 in 1978. Readers of the Cleveland Plain Dealer in those days know his work, illustrating Sunday feature articles as well as the Sunday Home Magazine and the daily PD Quickline. He did spectacular work for the paper in the days when brush, ink and Bristol board, Coquille board and Craftint were the tools of the trade. You are looking at the original drawing that was printed in the Sunday edition of the Cleveland Plain Dealer at one time.
