Description: Here is a vintage Old Spice shaving mug produced between 1960 and 1964 for Shulton. It was designed for a 4 oz soap cake and measures 4.5 wide to handle, 2.25" tall and weighs 10.3 ounces. The classic Friendship ship in blue and the cursive writing in red are crisp and clear, free of scratches. This style is the last of the mugs without a lip around the rim. The interior has 6 short vertical ribs on the bottom sides to hold a soap cake in place. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. There is a short rough spot on the interior rim, see last photo. The underside is embossed with "Old Spice, Shulton 26". Shulton, originally based in Clifton NJ in 1934 was a hugely successful and diversified international manufacturer and marketer of grooming aids, perfumes, cosmetics, hair care, skin care, hospital supplies, and supplier of fine industrial chemicals.
