Description: Vintage MCM ROYAL COPENHAGEN Frijsenborg #910 Dinner & Serving Ware. Pattern Description: White Background, Various Multi-motif Florals, Embossed, Scalloped Edge, Gold Trim. Made In Denmark. Discontinued. Maker's Marks & Dating: All these pieces have the modern Crown and "ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK" stamp in green under the glazing together with a blue waves trademark. This small trademark has been used continuously since 1923. Since 1935, Royal Copenhagen added a small line in the trademark on almost every single piece of porcelain. This small line indicates which year the item has been produced. By looking at the small green lines/spots above or under a letter in the trademark you are able to determine the year of production and thereby the age of the porcelain item. In 1949 the small line had moved all the way from R to N in 'ROYAL COPENHAGEN', thus the small line was placed below the letters from 1950 forward. Many of the pieces in this set have the line below ROYAL, Under R being 1950, under L being 1954, although several pieces are from the late 1940's. Condition: Excellent for their 70 year old age. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Expect slight to moderate shelf wear and utensil marks. See photos. NOTES: the Dinner Plates, Salad Plates and other pieces come in at least 5 different floral motifs. I have tried to picture them and price them separately so that you may mix and match your pieces to your liking. I do not have pieces of every variation. Also, this china has a white background, not ivory or yellowish as may appear in some of the photos. That is purely due to lighting conditions and not an accurate color depiction of the china itself.
