Description: This is a gorgeous vintage doll from the late 1930s-1940s, designed and produced by doll maker Nancy Ann in her "Storybook Dolls" series. She wears an ivory voile dress, ivory bloomers and a sweet felt bonnet trimmed with white feathers and tied with a ribbon. Her eyes are black and her hair is a dark brown with a side part and curls. This doll does not have a box or wrist tag. Her dress has a little fraying and a spot. Her little black shoes have a chip out of each one. The price reflects her condition. Please feel free to ask questions. These dolls come from the collection of my dear friend’s mother. She was an art historian by training and had a keen eye for beauty and quality. She collected many types of things----parts of her collections were featured in museum shows that traveled across America. She was a third generation Californian and some of her dolls would have come from family. I do not know the history of individual pieces but I do know that they were lovingly curated and cared for by her as a collection. Her beautiful dolls are now ready to be passed on to others who will love them as much as she did.
