School: San Fernando High School in Los Angeles (This is the school where Richie Valens attended) This sweater is a "lettergirls club" sweater. The lettergirls club at this HS was started in the 1930's. The year of the sweater is 1953 and was owned by Shirley Crane. You can see her photo and photos of women wearing it in the 1953 yearbook. (Lettergirls club page and close up photo of graduating students). The last name of the owner, Crane is embroidered on the inner label.
