Description: Carved figure of a musician playing a flute in classic Black Forest style from pre-WWII. Figure is 11.5" x 7" wide x 5.5" deep and stands on a wooden platform (see photos). The musician is not glued to the platform (see photos) but stands up just fine and will be shipped in two pieces (figure + stand), though could be re-glued easily enough. But unfortunately the piece has suffered major damage and is missing one of the musician's hands and the bottom half of the flute. I could consign this to the kindling pile but for its unusually large size. I hate to throw away something that could have some restoration potential for the right collector. So I am offering it at a nominal price + shipping and hope it finds a home. Please review all photos as they are a critical part of the item description. I am currently offering several other vintage, decorative wood collectibles including marquetery trays, Black Forest bookends, a pyrography long-box, a painted wooden panel, etc.
