Description: This vintage 1960’s tiki mug was designed by Steve Crane Associates for Joseph Steve Crane. The Kon Tiki chain of restaurants was the place to be seen in the 60’s and this particular mug was for the Chicago-Boston locations. They are a matte brown finish with a “peanut” kind of texture. No chips, cracks or scratches. There is a usual glaze “puddle” for lack of a better word on the inside. It measures 6.5” tall and 2 3/8” in diameter and would make a great addition to any collection. NOTE: I have a second mug - see listings - slightly different color and no glazing issue in the bottom. Please look at photos carefully as they are part of the items' description. If you have any questions please ask before you purchase. Shipping prices reflect the extra time, care and packing material needed to make sure your purchase arrives at your home undamaged. In some cases, weight and distance can be a factor - shipped from Florida. I try to use recycled packing material whenever possible. The package is not pretty sometimes, but it works!
