Vintage KLH Model Twenty-Six Speakers - Pair - 8 Ohms - Late 60's

Description: Up for sale is this beautiful pair of Vintage KLH Model Twenty-Six Speakers in very good condition given their age. These units are 100% untouched original cabinets and drivers. Tested and working as they should. Cosmetically the speaker cabinets are in very good condition showing only minor wear and tear from the years. There are a couple of chips, one of the speakers has two very minor chips in the lower left corners, back and front. The other has a chip in the top rear right of the cabinet. Please look at all pictures for exact details. Both have scratches here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. The bottoms are clean given they have no rubber pads. Enclosures have been cleaned with Murphy wood cleaner and then detailed with two coats of Old English Oil and hand buffed, this helped to restore and blend minor imperfections in the finish, not to mention bringing the luster of the enclosures back to life; the result is amazing as seen in the pics. The cloth grilles are clean and show no rips, holes or tears; one of them is missing the KLH logo. Serial number sticker in one of them is missing. In all they have aged very well and have been treated good and it shows. Tested and working 100% all drivers. They put out very good sound, clean and crisp with great imaging. Unfortunately I can't find much information on specificatiins on them as to pass on to you, ie. how many watts capacity?, woofer material?, type of tweeter?, frequency response?, etc; the Impedance is 8 Ohms as marked in the rear of the cabinet. What you do find is a lot of great comments on all the KLH series speakers from this era. The woofers measure 8" and the tweeter is 3-1/2". The materials on the woofer surrounds are very well constructed with no signs of ever going bad or rotting, same with the tweeter surrounds. Input connection type is RCA and from experience I do recommend using good quality wire and RCA connectors for optimum sound output, it will make a very noticeable difference. These will make a great addition to any vintage or even modern system that you hook them up with. They will be properly packed using plenty of packing material and placed inside a U-Haul Medium Electronics Box which is double walled for extra security.
