Description: VINTAGE IRWIN HARD TOP CONVERTIBLE GYROFRICTION, AUTOMATIC WIPERS & ORIGINAL BOX This listing is for a vintage IRWIN toy car that comes in its original box that reads: “HARD TOP” CONVERTIBLE, Automatic Windshield Wipers, “Gyrofriction Motor” with powerful Screaming Siren, Travels a long Distance, copyright 1953. The colorfully illustrated box is intact, measures approx. 9-1/2” X 4” X 3-1/2”. The vehicle is red plastic with silver tone accents (side stripes, bumpers, grille, hood ornament) and has a metal chassis with “gyrofriction” motor in rear wheels (works well, and it does “scream” mainly when going in reverse). The axles are intact with black wheels, front hood has raised lettering IRWIN, and when the front wheels move, the yellow windshield wipers move back and forth. The car has a black roof and clear windows (the 2 side windows have some white spotting which is actually inside the plastic, manufacturing flaw). The car measures 9-1/2” long BY 3-5/8” at its widest BY 3-1/4” high to top of the roof. When packed SECURELY for shipping, the weight is 1 pound 12 ounces (mailing box measures 12” x 6” x 4”).
