Description: This vintage BETSY WETSY travel display trunk from IDEAL is a rare find from the 1930's. I have seen boxes and suitcase-like cases for original BETSY WETSY dolls, but no travel display trunks like this one. The trunk has a hinged lid and pullout drawers, with removable compartments for easy storage. The trunk measures 13.5 inches in length, 9.5 inches in height, and 8.5 inches in width. It is made of cardboard with some pink patterned paper covering the entire trunk. It has metal handles on both ends of the trunk and pull rings on all three drawers, one larger and two smaller drawers. The original BETSY WETSY label is still firmly attached to the inside lid of the trunk. There are some very faint children's writing around the label in pencil. I believe it can be erased. The once pink paper covering the trunk has slightly browned with age and moisture damage, but it is mostly intact. There are several drip marks inside the top compartment and children's crayon writing inside the bottom of one of the smaller drawers. The cardboard trunk is very sturdy. The accessories featured in the trunk include the following: 1-Johnson doll blanket(aroma the Makers of Johnsons Wax), 1- Chenille doll robe with tassels, 1-infant shirt, 1-pair of plastic pants, 1-burp clothes, 1-pair blue infant tie booties, 1-wash clothe, 1-bar of Ivory soap, 1-baby rattle, 1-bottle of baby powder, 1-bottle warmer, 2-baby bottles. The items do show wear from age and prior child play. All of the fabric has some spotting or discoloration. They have been washed, but not spot cleaned. The blue plastic booties have cracking and have been stapled in several places. This Lot of items is in Very Good "pre-owned" condition based on age and prior child play.
