Description: This is for a simply stunning, vintage Herend Hungarian porcelain Double Inkwell. It's in the Rothchild pattern, with tiny Butterflies and bugs. It has central Hand-Painted bird figurine, she looks like a Robin, with her nest and 3 baby chicks. The gallery style border is lattice-work, It's pink and white, and has plenty of gold detailing. Each tiny inkwell has Rose Bud Finial. Pink and Yellow. There are no glass liners for the inkwells, so the lids just balance on top. Fully marked on base, with the Herend blue underglaze crossed pens marking, usually dating from 1970's on. This piece is in beautiful condition, no chips, cracks or wear. The bird is exquisite....lovely tones. It measures 6" wide x 4 7/8" tall. Each inkwell lid measures a mere 1 1/8" wide. This is part of a large collection of vintage European figurines I will be selling, most from Hungary, Germany and Austria. I have a beautiful group of Herend figurines, some nudes.
