Description: This vintage saw is factory engraved “ This saw is made expressly for the Manual Training School by Henry Disston & Sons”. The engraved handle is very clean with no major chips/cracks/damage. The 22” blade is straight and clean with some minor rust as shown in the pictures. Has a tooth count of 9 PPI meaning it is a cross cut model. This particular saw features and ultra-tapered and hardened blade, fliling with tall, narrow gullets, and no tooth set. This saw requires a special file to sharpen, which hasnt been made for a long time. With that, most of these saws have been refiled to a more standard tooth grind, this one however appears to have the original grind which is rare. A nice original condition vintage saw.
