Description: Vintage handmade Romanian skirt, to be worn for Romanian folk dance performance. Constructed of both cotton and wool, with gorgeous embroidery and embellishment, including two loose pouches that can be tied around the waist or hung from a top (one includes a handkerchief). No size given, though seems to be made for an adult woman. Elastic waist measures 17” across when laid flat. The woman I bought this from told me these date from the 70’s.
