Description: Mid Century era ring, possibly brass with silver plated but the plate has largly worn off. The closest resemblance of the figure on this ring is Hera from Greek mythology. Dieties, soldiers and Royals were common among makers of these rings. Brass rings were not set with valuable gemstones. Onyx or hematite are the common among intaglios because they are easialy carved. This appear to look more like hematite but could also be onyx according to the jeweler. There are some small chips around the edges and the left bottom backround. Open back for fitting so the size is adjustable.
