Description: This handmade and hand painted ceramic plate was made in Greece and is signed and numbered. It depicts the Caryatid porch of the Erechtheion on the Acropolis at Athens. Caryatids are sculptures of women that are used as support columns. The most famous ones are the ones depicted on this plate. The plate is signed 'Zeys" and numbered 32. The plate is a little less than 13" in diameter. It also has a hallmark "GP" on the front of the plate in the righthand corner. They might be greek letters that mean something different. The only similar piece to this that I could find on the internet was on Etsy and it is located in Poland and they are asking $45.00 for it. According to the Etsy listing these plates are from the 1980's and are made of tera cotta.
