Description: Vintage Gibson L-37 Archtop Sunburst PLEASE CONTACT US WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR FOR AN IN-HAND DESCRIPTION Made for only a brief moment from the late '30s into the early '40s, this lovely L-37 features a flat back with a 14 3/4" lower bout width & a sound projection that could keep up with most flat tops! Despite its less than stellar appearance, it's an ultra cool archtop that's tons of fun to play. Professionally set up with fresh strings so it's ready to go straight out of the case. Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a repaired top crack - lower bout, treble-side near the F-hole & the entire body was oversprayed. The front of the headstock was also refinished & the original Gibson script logo can only just barely be seen under certain light. Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Open-back strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 3/4" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard. Body: Double-bound archtop with dual F-holes. Solid spruce top in sunburst finish. Nickel trapeze tailpiece & floating rosewood bridge. Pickguard is missing. Solid maple back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 3 lbs 15.4 oz. Case: Vintage chipboard case included- a bit rough, but does the job.
