Description: This is a Rare Vintage Garrard Pickup Stylus Pressure Gauge (Model Type SPG2), for checking the Sylus Pressure on Gramophones or Record Players. The 3” x 5 3/8” x 1 ¾” box, contains the items 4-page instructions booklet, as well as the 4” x 2 ¼” x ¾” maroon & white plastic gauge (bakelite??), with metal parts. The item was made in England by the Gerrard Engineering & Manufacturing Co. One side has the gauge with degrees for Grammes of pressure. The reverse side has Gerrard advertising. The gage appears to be in excellent condition. The instructions have some creases & foxing. The box is in very good condition, but the paper label on the top does have some wear here & there along its edges. A Very Unusual Vintage Phonograph Accessory!!
