Description: Unique vintage cigar smoking mouthpiece combining the early polymer "bakelite" with pipe making "briar" wood. . These pipe stem shaped holders were "all the rage" amongst the wealthy during the 20's & 30's and remained popular up through the 40's. Butterscotch bakelite pipe stem, the briar portion is marked "Echte Bruyere" which translates in German as, "Authentic Briar". Nice condition but does show some light ordinary use. I ran a pipe cleaner through it and the airway is open - so it's fit for use or display.
