Description: Vintage French Carving Set, Gigot Holder, Salad Set, Dinner Knives and Dessert Knives, Stamped, 29 pcs This handsome vintage French twenty-nine piece ensemble is made up of a carving set, a gigot holder, a salad set, twelve dinner knives and twelve dessert knives. The blades and upper parts are stainless steel, the stylish collars are silver plated and the handles are horn. The upper parts of the salad set are also horn. The blades are stamped “Inoxydable” (stainless), as well as with the interlaced initials of the maker, “CHM”. The upper part of the carving fork is marked “Acier forgé”. This set shows signs of wear on the handles, especially on the dinner knives, and small cracks in some of the upper parts of the handles . The collar of one dinner knife is very slightly loose. The fork of the salad set shows some loss of horn at the ends of the teeth. Please refer to the detailed photos on this page.
