Description: A charming vintage Quimper doubled-handled vase crafted and hand painted at the Henriot faiencerie in Quimper, France. This vase depicts a beautifully detailed yet naive Breton lady with a large basket on the front and demi-fantaisie decoration on the back and around the body. The handles, rim, waist and base are painted in cobalt blue and gold geometric designs. The vase is in very good vintage condition with minor glaze chipping, wear, and crawling on the inner rim and base (see pictures) consistent with its age. There is a 1/4" chip from the base underside which is only apparent looking from the bottom (see last picture). Dimensions are 7 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide x 3 1/4" deep. Circa 1930-1935. Note: the background elimination software subtracts edges of the vase in some of the photos, refer to another photo angle for any uneven edges. *Seller has researched the authenticity of this item as described and believes it to be accurate.
