The red case measures 7 ½ inches by 6 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches, and has a plastic carrying strap handle and a metal latch. It takes 2 C cell batteries; I have not tried it, but there is no corrosion or wire breaks. Condition on the piece is good. There is just light wear. The pouch inside the lid is loose at one end. A fun vintage item!
