Description: Vintage Framed Reproduction Picture Post Magazine Cover (4 February 1950 Shop-Girl in Rio) This is a lovely framed Picture Post cover from 4 February 1950 titled "Shop-Girl in Rio". The subject matter is an evocative photo titled: Lucy Pereira, a shopgirl in Rio de Janeiro spends her weekend on Ipanema beach with a friend (Photo by Kurt Hutton/Picture Post/IPC Magazines/Getty Images). The original magazine copy was scanned, enlarged, digitally printed and matt laminated onto Foamex board. It was then professionally framed into a tray frame using 1.5" square pine with metal corner wedges. It has been displayed for a number of years and the photo part of the image has faded to give a slight green hue. It still presents very well though and looks great from a distance. There is a small air bubble near the girls arm and the original copy had some fading (please see photo).
