The lock is the original one installed in the box when it was owned by the municipality west of Chicago! The vault door is in perfect original condition, clean as a dinner plate!! The box is in the paint that was on it when it was in service! It is in very nice shape as you can see! The vault door opens easily and smoothly with the key it comes with! It is very heavy! It would even work well as a piggy bank or lockbox! It can be bolted to a pipe with U-bolts from an Autozone, or just 4 bolts to a wall, through the 4 holes in the right side from the original installation! ****NOTE!!**** This is a heavy item! To lower the cost of shipping it may be NECESSARY for me to mail it in 2 SEPARATE packages to avoid DIM weight or Intermountain surcharges!! The vault door would be in the second package!
