Description: This lantern was made for Dietz or Handlan. The W C Embury Co first introduced this Traffic Gard lantern in 1940 and marketed specifically for use by highway contractors, utility companies and municipalities to warn night drivers of raid hazards. The top of the lantern has been dented and pressed down on one side as well as being repainted from the original red to the green which is now flaking.
