This is a beautiful STERLING SILVER Santa Maria style shank stainless steel show curb bit with GORGEOUS engraved sterling overlay on the hinged cheeks and tie bar in the Californio style and stamped El Vaquero, Tijuana Mexico. The close up photos show the fabulous quality of the engraving on the stunning shanks. This is a very well made stainless steel bit with a 3/8 inch diameter x 5 inch wide copper hooded Salinas curb mouthpiece. There are some scratches on the copper hood which is solid copper, not plated. The shanks measure 8 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a 3.2 to 1 leverage ratio and weighs in at 1 pound 8 ounces making it a bit for a horse that likes a little weight to the bit. This stunning bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
