Please look at the pictures - there is fraying around the corners of the hardcovers and some of the spines need work. There is some "scribbling" in pencil inside some of them, but nothing damaging. The illustrations are wonderful and add to the storytelling. This is a beautiful set and would make an excellent edition to a colletion.
