Description: This is a vintage correspondence to Marie Carter Jones from her father and grandfather. I found the clipping in a basket of treasured items in the Evanston, Illinois estate of Robert R. Jones. Marie was Jones’ mother. She was the great great granddaughter of the Potawatomi missionary Robert Simerwell. Her great grandmother was Elizabeth Simerwell, Carter, the first white female born in Kansas. The letter is yellowed but otherwise in good vintage condition. It’s about everyday family things such as a letter lost in the mail and fixing a bike!
