Further details are listed below: Details: This helmet is complete, but it's seen a little action. Without further adieu, here are all of the details:IN GENERAL: I've had this guy for awhile, but I'm trying to trim the fat a bit. I'm selling it AS I FOUND IT. I have not done anything to it at all. I haven't washed it or used leather cleaner on the straps or liner. It is 'unmessed-with'... at least by me. This helmet type goes by a few names, among them are: Czech M53, Czechoslovak Vz. 53, and the SSh-40 (the latter is incorrect as that's the name of the Soviet version).SHELL: This guy is in pretty good shape. It has a very small amount of rust and a few scratches. There are no cracks, warping, or large dents present. LINER: The webbing is a 'finger-style' type made popular by the German Stahlhelm. The chin strap leather could use some 'refreshing', but is still pliable. If you have shoe conditioner, leather oil, or baseball glove cleaner - then go for it. Sadly, I have none of those things. There are some ink stamps on the inside and the ones that I can read are: 2 (the head size), 57 (the year of manufacture), and what's left of the 'crossed swords' seal of approval. I can't make heads or tails out of the others. As for the size: I'm a head size 7 5/8 and the liner ring is a bit snug. I would say that the MAXIMUM head size would be 7 1/2. IN CONCLUSION: It's in good shape and there's nothing broken (like the webbing, straps, or loops/bails) and there are no dents. It's 'been there', so please look carefully at all of the photos before you even THINK about buying - I don't do refunds.NOTE: I usually have a number of other items listed as well.
