Description: Decorative 1950s vintage church plate from Washington, Indiana. This plate features the First Evangelical United Brethren Church. The church graphic is in black and white. The outer edge of the plate is scalloped with an intricate gold design with flowers. This was made in the USA by World Wide Art Studios, A Division of Atlas Crystal Works, Inc out of Covington, Tennessee. Diameter is 10 inches. Text on the back of the plate: "Our Sixty Third Birthday, September 18, 1957. The First Evangelical United Brethren Church, Washington, Indiana, was organized as the First United Brethren Church with twenty-six charter members, September 18, 1894, by Reverend J.T. Hobson. The first building was dedicated at north west First and Walnut Streets, September 4, 1898. It was remodeled in 1925. The present building was dedicated June 30, 1957, at the new location between north east Sixth Street and Highway 57. Reverend R.P. Hawkins has served the church since 1949."
