This bowl is in "The Vernon" pattern that was first produced in 1931. This is made of glazed ceramic ironstone. It features a high gloss ivory white glaze with a transfer print floral design. The design is hand tinted underglaze in green, red, yellow, blue, and pink. The outside is decorated with a green and blue chain. This footed bowl (or cup) has two handles trimmed in yellow. A total of two bowls are available. Both are shown in the photographs. If you would like more than one bowl, simply specify the number wanted in the quantity box. Each piece is marked with the Royal Doulton England/Made in England backstamp with the lion over the crown. There is also the model number "D5124", an artist's mark "V" in yellow, and a manufacturing code of "O" in black. This bowl is approximately 2-1/4 inches tall and 4-3/4 inches in diameter across the top rim and 2 inches across the footed base. The capacity is approximately 10 fluid ounces. CONDITION: These vintage pieces are in good used condition. The glaze is bright and shiny. There are very little, very light use marks to the glaze. There are some tiny glaze pops or specks in the glaze from manufacturing. There is light to moderate crazing on the inside and outside. The crazing discolors lightly when wet but otherwise there are no stains or discoloration. Please see photographs.
