Description: Vintage BROOKINS 1-Quart Oil Bottle w/ Spout VERY COOL! Great item for any petroliana collection. DETAILS This bottle is in overall excellent condition The spout shows it's age and wear with minor dings from repeated use (as you can imagine with this type of utilitarian item). We did a quick rinse of the bottle with soap and water to remove surface dust and residue/bugs/years of grime from inside. You might want to give it another going over if you want everything pristine because there a still a few spots of stubborn 'baked on' grime from decades of sitting. We gave the spouts a quick wipe simply to remove any loose grime but leaving the patina untouched. We're leaving the level of polish/cleaning of the spout up to you. Unlike most other bottles from the same era, this bottle is made of very heavy glass and the lettering on the bottle is also thick and crisp with high-relief. There is also an interesting little 'detail' or possibly a slight error that occurred during manufacturing. Just below the 'Brookins' name and above 'Cincinnati Ball Crank', there is a series of 'interlocking' circles. It is something that was clearly made into the bottle. It is not raised like the rest of the lettering or design but it instead flush with the surface. You can just feel it if you run your finger over it. We did our best to take clear pictures of all the markings on the bottle.
