Given this representation of Swaraswati, it is believed this statue was produced in either Thailand, Tibet or Bali. Many of the pieces being sold today are resin molded mass reproductions. Not this Goddess statue! She is true cast bronze that required the knowledge and execution of an East Asian metal crafts-person. Often a skill that was and still is past down through the generations. Absolutely striking visual appearance is enabled through an intricate bronze casting which was then hand painted for finish. The artist painted some areas of the statue and left others unpainted so that the natural bronze would show through.
