At the time Pelikan was already known for making colorful models, but the new striped barrels were a success and broke the long German tradition of designing all black models. Today this model would be equivalent to those of the Pelikan Souverän range. Really a lovely pen!The pen has a fine hairline crack on the cap, this doesn't affect the function, because the inside of the cap is not damaged. The pen is very well preserved. It will fit into any collection and is a quality pen that will function, as a daily writing instrument perfectly.
