These are extremely rare authentic Babydolls from the mid 50's to early 60's with a combination of features not seen on any of the other 8,100 Babydolls on Ebay or on Etsy. They were bought decades ago when these highly desired styles could still be found. Only a collector or hardcore fan of vintage lingerie will appreciate the obscurity of a Babydoll with these classic characteristics: short sheer chiffon puff sleeves, sheer chiffon Peter Pan collar, silky smooth soft and feminine Acetate or Nylon microfiber inner layer with sheer chiffon outer layer. A vintage Babydoll nightie with all of those three features is exceedingly rare. You won't find another anywhere on Ebay except the ones I have posted. These vintage Babydoll sets came with matching bloomer or bubble panties but the panties always became worn out and were discarded. But amazingly this already extraordinarily rare Babydoll includes the original cute & comfy matching bloomer panties in like new condition with perfect elastic on the waist and leg openings. All the sheer chiffon of the sleeves, collar, and outer layer is virtually flawless and beautiful. The entire set is in excellent condition except for one repair that was made on the inner layer of microfiber fabric about 2 inches long. Fortunately the outer chiffon layer completely covers that area and makes the repair basically invisible when the garment is being worn as you can see in the picture with the circled area. But it's that one repair that's keeping this Babydoll set out of the much higher collector price bracket and making it affordable for the average buyer to own such a rare piece of history. Finely embroidered butterflies and a cute string tie with long tails adorn the bodice asserting this a garment made when women enjoyed being truly feminine.
