Description: This is a small, vintage statue made to look like a Bearded Man made somewhere in Australia. We found no maker’s marks and were told this comes from the 1960s. We acquired it from a local estate with a great story. The former owner worked with relief efforts through the Peace Corps in the 1960s-70s. She had many items gifted to her, but we do not know where (there was no note). This is not a cheap tourist piece, as she did not buy those. This piece of pottery measures about 5.25 inches tall. It shows only very minor wear (please see photos) from many moves across the country once she settled back in the US. We have a few other pieces from her travels across the globe that we are listing. *Note- because we often feel weird selling artwork from other cultures when it comes in, we try to do some good with it. A percentage of the proceeds from this item will go to the Southern Poverty Law Center to help fight for good causes. We try to do right by our customers, but please read descriptions and view photos before bidding. Over the next few weeks we are putting up several rounds of items. We are happy to combine shipping for multiple items won.
