Description: Victorian Warmth Is a great way to describe this item from the Williamston Manor. Although the tiled stove has a very long history, it was mainly used during the 18th century when it was used as a heat source in homes primarily in bedrooms. This beautiful English artisan made example of a Victorian Tiled Stove is made of porcelain with a beautiful clear glaze. It would make a great addition to any 17th or 18th century home. A brief history of how I became the owner of this piece and many more that are in the Collection. In the early 90's the parents set out to build from scratch an 18 room miniature Victorian Manor, later to be known as the "Williamston Manor". Images of which can be seen on Facebook at Williamston Manor Miniature Home, as well as many of the items in the Manor. Over a 15-year period my parents built the Manor. During this time they also investigated and found the finest and most well-known and renowned miniature artisans from around the World and proceeded to stock the Manor with items from these World Renowned Miniature Artisans, like Francis D. Whittemore, Jane Graber, Barbara Rehab, Pete Acquisto, Phil Grenyer, Jason Getzen, Gerald Crawford, Silvia Roundtree, Ron Benson, Jane Newman, Elizabeth Chambers and many, many more. The Manor is quite the collection of World Renowned Miniature Artisan pieces. Every room in the Manor has items in it that are rare, vintage and absolutely Museum Quality. In addition, my very artistic parents assembled many of the furniture pieces in the Manor from "House of Miniatures" kits and my mother, being an artist herself, hand painted most of the paintings in the Manor as well as hand made all of the rugs in the Manor. I am the youngest of three my parents had and I am the one that ended up with the Manor and all of its contents. I have attempted to sell the Manor as one complete item but have been unsuccessful in doing so. After long deliberation I decided to start the process of selling the pieces in the Manor. Some like this item will be listed and auctioned one at a time. Other pieces from the Manor will be put into Lots and also auctioned. I will add that I have done a vast amount of research on every item in the Manor. My parents, being very detailed oriented as well, kept a thorough log on every room in the Manor as to what items were in each room. This included: cost of the item, artisan of the item, where the item was purchased and when the item was purchased. I have letters and other correspondence my parents made directly with many of the Artisans of that time. Some items in the Manor are "ONE OF A KIND" as they were commissioned specifically for the Manor. I know every piece in the Manor and I am completely educated on what the "Value" of each item in the Manor is. I will not disrespect my parents time, work and energy they put into this Manor as well as the Artisans that painstakingly hand made these exquisite pieces that together make the Williamston Manor one extremely unique item. My hope is that the people that come to view the items for sale from the Williamston Manor are as uniquely qualified miniature artisan collectors, as my parents were. And that they will give these wonderfully beautiful items the cherished permanent home they each deserve. If you have any questions or are interested in more than one piece please reach out and inquire. Respectfully and with King Regards, Thank You.
