The inside is cobalt blue thick glass (if you look at the pictures showing the opening, you can see just how thick they are). They have a feel of pottery. the outside is a glazed pottery with some of the glass showing through. I would describe the color as a variegated brown. the upper portion is a taupe brown moving downward to brown as you go towards the bottom. the larger one is 16 1/4 inches tall approximately 7 1/2 inches at its widest weighing just over 5 pounds the smaller one is 9 1/2 inches tall approximately 7 inches at its widest weighing 2 pounds 12 ounces these will ship double boxed to protect your purchase.
