Description: Penn Antique Restoration Vintage "Ethan Allen" Cherry Wooden Wall Shelf Elegant, solid wood, wall shelf made by, "Ethan Allen." It is made of solid cherry and retains its original stain and finish. The piece has 3 slotted shelves, which are perfect for standing plates/dishes. The sides are angled and protrude outwardly. It's impressive how many decorative details and accents have been routed (carved) into this wall shelf; the most noticeable is the round, floral appliqué prominently featured in the center of the top arch. The shelf is in great condition! There are some light nicks and scratches but there are no breaks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst blemish is actually tough to spot. There are some remnants of a candle or something else that was stored on the top shelf and dried up (see close up photo with yellow rectangles). These traces are not only hard to spot, but they are only subtly noticeable to the touch. If I were to use the shelf, I would just leave them alone, however, if you are a person of perfection, a rag and mineral spirits may do the trick.Our carpenter thoroughly inspected it and found no repairs to make nor anything to reinforce.
