I believe the case has been painted gold and is in excellent solid condition. It is missing the back access panel and there is a small chip on the porcelain dial at the number 4. But the clock is in excellent working condition. Once purchased the clock will be tested for 48 hours prior to shipping to complete any final adjustments to assure proper working conditions.
