Description: There is a worldwide problem that is creating all sorts of difficulties. We have extended our shipping window to 20 days to give us time to solve these problems. Like the rest of the world we are hoping to get back to normal soon. William F. Drueke began making quality chess sets and other games before World War I. This set of pieces is from the 1980s. The Drueke firm brought out two weights, standard and heavy. This set is the lightest of the standard sets, as it comes in at 22 ounces. We include one of the great oak boxes that Drueke made in the 1960s; alas, this has vinyl lid, not an oak lid, and one of the rails is broken and reglued. It is 10 inches long, six inches wide, and three inches deep; it is the biggest and best sliding-top Drueke box made. The kings stand 3 5/8 inches tall with a base diameter of 1 1/2 inches. We have sold this same set for $250. Worth every penny. We combine shipping! To combine, place all your purchases in the shopping cart and press "proceed to checkout." Follow us! We found a number of antique sets! We have an ongoing sale of 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st century chess clocks, books, and sets! Watch for our big sales!
