Description: Antique 22" unmarked composition shoulder-head doll with non-working crier. Mohair wig over molded hair, sleep eyes frozen open, open mouth with two teeth. Full composition arms and legs to above the knee on cloth body. Original dress with pointed hem in the front and matching one-piece undergarment. A few small holes in the thin cotton dress, too fragile to remove. No shoes. No evidence of hair being cut in the back, looks it was always long curls only in the front. Composition has small chip top of one eye socket, and a little paint flaking on top of one foot. May be repaint, reveals a slightly different tone underneath. From the estate and personal collection of Dian Zillner, author of numerous books on Dolls, Doll accessories, and Doll Houses. Many of the listed items have been used as illustrations in her books.
