Description: I went to the Guns N’ Roses concert in 1987 in Dallas, Texas. I was 14 years old and purchased this T-shirt. When I returned home, my mother confiscated this T-shirt from me. She told me I would never wear anything like this and took it away from me. Fast forward 36 years later and we found this in a box at my mother‘s house. This shirt is official and has never been washed and has never been worn. I saw one like this at a T-shirt shop in Houston and they were asking $1200 for it, I don’t honestly know what it’s worth, but I do know that I bought it and I’ve never used it and I’ve never worn it. There’s probably not any other one like this on eBay. Good luck.On Sep-01-24 at 11:44:55 PDT, seller added the following information: It was September 17, 1988. Guns n Roses wasn’t the headliner. The headliner was INXS, but Sweet Child of mine had just gone to #1 on the American Top 40. It was my very first time to fly. I flew with a buddy of mine, his name is Gage. We flew from Austin to Dallas to meet my older cousin Tom. We flew on Southwest and the tickets were something like $15 or $19, can’t be exact. I remember thinking that my ears were gonna blow up. I had a an ear infection and the altitude and cabin air pressure only made it worse. Little did I know that the combination of my ear infection, the flight, and then the loud music would lead to a ruptured eardrum. This was the first and only show that Guns n Roses would perform with INXS. We had floor seats and the set list was very impressive. Although extraordinary short. Setlist: 01. You're Crazy 02. It's So Easy 03. Mr. Brownstone 04. Patience 05. Welcome to the Jungle 06. Sweet Child O'Mine 07.Paradise CityOn Sep-07-24 at 15:14:54 PDT, seller added the following information: The arena was covered in rain that day. Hurricane Gilbert blew through Texas Stadium that day. The floor was covered in plastic and it turned into the biggest slip-n-slide event I had ever seen. The lineup was crazy, matter of fact, GnR didn’t fit well in the lineup. Ziggy Marley opened, followed by Iggy Pop, then the Smithereens, then GnR, then INXS. I vaguely remember Iggy Pop swinging his mic a lot. I believe he hit a member of the audience with the boom and they had to have medical attention. It was a sloppy day, and a strange concert. We are extremely close to hitting the reserve on this shirt. I plan on using this money towards Universal tickets so please bid high !! ;) Seriously - this shirt has never been worn - it’s has never been washed - it is as genuine as I have described. I remember going to the Hard Rock in Dallas and having pork fajitas. I’ve never had them since. We got to see the ZZ Top guitars that were on display (the ones they would spin in circles) and covered with fur. Somewhere between GnR & INXS I ruptured my left war drum due to the ear infections & the obscenely loud music. To this day I have horrible hearing out of my left ear. It seems just like yesterday when I experienced this event….but…it’s been 36 years. Where else can you find a brand new 36 year old shirt? Check mate - bid away plz ;)
