Vintage 1970's Authentic WELLS FARGO BRASS Scale Weight Paperweight 3"

Description: This is a hard to find authentic Wells Fargo gold balance scale weight paperweight that features the Wells Fargo logo on the top. There is also a very feint, worn, impression on the bottom in a circular pattern that reads: WELLS FARGO & CO. with the wagon in the middle. There is more to the logo but I can't read it. Believed to have been made in the late 70's, 1977, to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Wells. Fargo and made by Wells Fargo themselves according to a spokesperson at the Wells Fargo Historical Society in San Francisco. This weight was only issued to the banks in California. Another note that was passed on was the Wells Fargo did not start using Wells Fargo & Co. until 1968. Measures 3" height x 1 1/2" in diameter. Weighs roughly 1 lb. 6 oz, with a nice handle.
