Description: This is a lot of 2 Native American Bust statues, sculptures or figures produced in 1966 by Universal Statuary Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. These are signed by Universal on the back. There are no other maker marks. It is highly likely these were created by Vaughn Kendrick who was a Chicago native and worked for Universal in the 1960's and 70's. He was best known for his Cowboys and Indians which were very popular during that era. He was also responsible for creating many other figures. The #320 busts are made of a mixed plaster material (resin was not introduced yet) and are quite heavy at 4 pounds each. They are not made of chalkware. Both have retained their colors very well over the years. The turquoise and beads are stunning. If you look closely at the photos, you notice differences between the two. Both were made using the same mold but one is a little shorter and heavier. (That's life, isn't it?) Both have flat backs and would add a Western flair to your wall or cabinet. The tallest one on the left measures 10 3/4" high x 6 3/4" wide x 4 7/8" deepThe shorter one measures 10 1/4" high x 6 1/2" wide x 4 3/4" deep Please look closely at the photos as they are part of the description. Thanks for looking and have a great day. Check out my other items. I love to combine shipping to save you money. PLEASE NOTE: I always leave feedback after my buyers. I want them to be completely satisfied and the transaction completed. That way, we can work out any problems and the feedback will always be positive for both of us. ~THANK YOU~ Many of our items are donated by very generous pet owners and/or smokers. Although we continually launder everything that can be laundered per eBays rules, for the sake of smooth and happy transactions, please assume that all of our items have a perfume odor from laundry products, have a smoke odor and/or are from homes that have some type of pet. IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH ANY OF THESE, OUR ITEMS ARE BEST LEFT FOR THOSE EBAYERS WHO DO NOT. SMOKE ODOR is not an error we made in the description, a "quality" issue, or "Item not as described". We advise that all items may have an odor and are donated by smoking/pet homes. We do not accept returns for odors. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. SMOKE AND OTHER ODORS CAN BE REMOVED BY SOAKING ITEMS IN 1 CUP VINEGAR AND 1 CUP BAKING SODA (OR ARM AND HAMMER LAUNDRY DETERGENT) AND THEN LAUNDERED.
