Vintage 1961 Ideal Kissy Doll In Rare Blue Alternate Gingham Dress / White Shoes

Description: Up for sale is an Ideal Kissy Doll made in the early 60s. She was made by ideal to complete with Mattel making Barbie. Kissy proves to be very popular due to her pricing and smaller size, but also because she was interactive. When you pull her arms together she puckers and kisses. Some of mine still make the kissing noise, some just click. They all pucker and kiss. I know how to fix the noise maker but to be honest I don’t anymore because it’s extremely extremely difficult. Most have been restrung if they were too loose. This kissy is great, and the dress is very rare. I say very rare because I’ve been hunting another to replace this one for over 3 years and never seen a single one for sale! This is basically the exact dress as the red gingham she was most commonly found in, but this version is blue. The reason the price is lower is that the dress has lots of issues. It’s got stains, rips, patches, discoloration. You name it and it’s there. It displays ok but could be so much better. Also she has on her rare white shoes, but it seems they split and someone before me tried to glue them back together. It works but it just looks wild.
