Description: ***********The ETA 2452 automatic movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 42 hour power reserve period. The movement received a complete overhaul in June 2023. While the movement runs strong and works perfectly as it should when the watch is turned upside down and then back upright occasionally a slight sound is made. According to my watchmaker although the oscillating weight is intact there is a bit of wobble to it, making subtle contact with the inside of the case back.***********This seldom seen vintage 1960's Paul Le Grande, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a glossy black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The stealth bezel, which shows wear and signs of oxidation, rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with insignificant signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE 100% WATERPROOF AUTOMATIC INCABLOC" with "600 FEET DEEP DIVER" followed by "2833" and "331885" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "BERMANN WATCH CO. INC." The crystal shows light scratching. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "BERMAN WATCH Co INC" stamped ETA 2452 automatic movement with semi-quickset date function keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement has an approximate 42 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. While the movement works perfectly as it should when the watch is turned upside down and then back upright occasionally a slight sound is made. According to my watchmaker although the oscillating weight is intact there is a bit of wobble to it, making subtle contact with the inside of the case back. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 7.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 21 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.
