Description: One owner 1955 Bausch and Lomb Microscope with some accessories! Considering this microscope is now about 65 years old it is in wonderful condition with the lens still clear, raises up and down smoothly, microscope lens adjust at top (they twist outward) fine and comes with the original wood case. It has 10x lens and you rotate the bottom part to determine which magnification you want (I believe 3x or 10x the lens magnification). The serial number appears to be 'JD687' located by the Bausch embossing at the top; (the 'J' representing the year of manufacture which is 1955 and the 'D' represents the 'class' which in this case is 31-meaning 'microscope'). Everything works fine!Condition is good with marks and scuffs here and there as shown in photos. Includes microscope, wood case (do not have key-just hooks but you could probably get a key), round metal disc tray (little rusty) for microscope, 12 plastic specimen trays and one porcelain specimen tray (appears original to the era!). Note that this microscope only had one owner from the estate of a geologist who used it for rock and sand analysis. Case measures 13"h x 8"w x 11 1/4"LMicroscope measures 10"h fully lowered x 8"w Solid piece (with case) weighing in at about 18 lbs. Happy to answer any questions!
