Description: This listing is for a 1955 New York Telephone Company Poster in Yiddish & English notifying residents in a building in a Jewish neighborhood about "TELEPHONE SERVICE INTERRUPTED". This poster measures 15" x 18 3/4". It is in excellent condition except for a fold line near the middle from being stored folded in half and a small crease near the top left corner. There are no tears. In English and Yiddish it reads "The telephone cables serving this building have been damaged. Our people are working to restore service as promptly as possible We regret any inconvenience you have experienced". At the bottom it says "NEW YORK TELEPHONE COMPANY". In the top left corner it reads "P 1831B 1-55". I have been told that the "1-55" stands for January, 1955. This will be mailed flat between sheets of cardboard. Please see the photos for more details. Money-back guarantee.
